Standard-compliant energy audits

An energy audit is usually the first step and is heavily subsidised for SMEs every four years. Measures to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy costs are recommended. The economic benefit of the derived measures can be very high. Energy audits carried out by our energy efficiency experts in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 are currently subsidised by 50%.

Energy consulting for residential and non-residential buildings

In the case of modernisations, we take on the specialist energy planning for increasing energy efficiency, reducing transmission heat loss and primary energy requirements. This is followed by the preparation of energy performance certificates and the definition of refurbishment measures for complete buildings or as individual measures.

Funding advice and application

Depending on the recommended measures, we identify the appropriate funding programmes for buildings and industrial processes. We determine the economic savings potential of the energy efficiency measures, including the funding programmes. On this basis, we guide you through the entire application process.

Energy management according to
ISO 50001

Energy management according to ISO 50001 is a tool for systematically optimising a company's energy use. It covers energy procurement and consumption and includes both technical and organisational aspects.

With the amendment of the Energy Efficiency Act in 2023, companies with a total energy consumption of more than 7.5 GWh are obliged to introduce an energy management system.

Transformation concepts for climate neutrality

Transformation concepts aim to gradually reduce greenhouse gas emissions in order to become climate neutral in the long term. We support companies on their way to climate neutrality in planning and implementation. In addition to describing the current situation (carbon footprint), we develop an action plan for buildings and processes. The development of BAFA transformation concepts is subsidised by up to 60%.

Heating networks from renewable energies

Our energy consulting services include the planning and realisation of building and heating networks (local and district heating) with a high proportion of renewable energies. The aim is to decarbonise the networks using combinations of different technical solutions (use of waste heat, solar thermal energy, heat pumps, etc.). The feasibility, implementation and ongoing operating costs are subsidised.

Investigation of waste heat potential

The use of waste heat offers significant potential for increasing energy efficiency in industry.

In this context, the amendment to the Energy Efficiency Act is relevant because it introduces a reporting requirement for companies with a total energy consumption of more than 2.5 GWh. The reporting requirement stipulates that these companies must report their waste heat potential on the waste heat platform by 1 January 2025. In order to fulfil this obligation, it is necessary to determine the unused waste heat in the company.
