The EIC Accelerator enables start-ups and SMEs to take their innovation to the next level. The programme supports the market-ready development and launch of high-risk, cutting-edge, deep-tech technologies. The EIC Accelerator is one of three funding programmes of the European Innovation Council (EIC) and focuses on the final stage of an innovation's development. 

On the road to commercialisation

The EIC Transition focusses on a very specific phase in the process of innovation development. The funding programme is aimed at the research, development and validation of a novel technological application through to the development of a sustainable business model and commercialisation. The EIC Transition acts as a transition programme and only supports projects that follow on from a previous EU-funded project.

Go-ahead for R&D

The EIC Pathfinder starts at the very beginning of a good idea. The EIC Pathfinder makes it possible to tackle challenging, pioneering, and novel approaches in the field of scientific, technological, or deep-tech research and development. The funding programme is aimed at those who are willing to experiment and who want their research and development to produce cutting-edge technologies and shape progress in their field. 

Towards a carbon neural future

The European Union is on its way to a climate-neutral future. The Innovation Fund is one of the world's largest financing prorammes for decarbonisation. The funding programme invests in the demonstration of innovative low-carbon technologies for energy-intensive industries, enery-generation and storage as well as carbon capture, utilisation and storage.

Innovation and International Networking

Eurostars promotes transnational cooperation between SMEs in small, open-topic research and development projects. Unlike in other research consortia, SMEs play the leading role in Eurostars and are at the centre of innovation. Depending on the partner country, universities, research institutions and large companies can also participate in the consortia. 

Investing in the environment

L'Instrument Financier pour l'Environnement (LIFE) is the only European funding programme that exclusively supports projects in the field of environmental innovation. Launched in 1992, it supports actions in the fields of biodiversity, the environment and climate change. 

For female leaders

As a relatively new and very popular initiative from the EU, Women TechEU offers female founders of technology start-ups world-class coaching and mentoring, as well as targeted funding to take their start-up to the next level. The funding programme is funded under Horizon Europe for European Innovation Ecosystems.

It aims to help mitigate climate change, achieve the goals of the Green Deal and strengthen the competitiveness and growth of the European economy.
