EurA has been represented in Augsburg since 2024 as its second Bavarian location. Our team is located in the Technology Centre Augsburg, in the heart of the Augsburg Innovation Park. The Innovation Park offers excellent research and development conditions for companies and research institutions in the future-oriented fields of aerospace, lightweight construction, carbon/fibre composites, mechatronics and automation, hydrogen technology, digitalisation and resource efficiency.

In Augsburg, we focus on innovation consulting with a particular emphasis on consulting services the funding programmes of the European Union – especially the EIC Accelerator – as well as funding opportunities for start-ups and young companies.

Our team in Augsburg has already supported a large number of start-ups such as Creapaper and LightnTec in successful EIC Accelerator projects. In the field of hydrogen, we have launched the EU-funded CleanH2Shipping project and are also a project partner. The aim is to demonstrate emission-free inland waterway transport using hydrogen fuel cells.

Augsburg is conveniently located between Munich and Ulm and, with more than 300,000 inhabitants, is one of Bavaria's largest cities. EurA AG is located in the Augsburg Innovation Park, in the immediate vicinity of the university and the Augsburg Exhibition Centre, and just a 15-minute drive from the historic old town. Our office is easily accessible thanks to good connections to the A8 motorway and the B17 federal highway.

Funding in Germany

Tax research allowance

The tax research allowance ('steuerliche Forschungszulage') enables companies in Germany to claim tax relief on expenditure incurred for research and development. You can claim tax relief of up to EUR 3.5 million per year for your R&D. The allowance is particularly attractive to many companies because it can be claimed retroactively, allowing companies to start their projects immediately.
