What is grant management?

Grant management at EurA means the numerical processing of a funded project by experienced accounting professionals. We support our customers in efficiently accessing funding from the project sponsor and in providing complete and legally watertight proof of how it is used. Otherwise, there is a risk that approved grants will not be fully utilised, will be reduced or even reclaimed. With us, on the other hand, you can keep track of deadlines, payments and evidence. This allows you to concentrate fully on the technical part of your project – we take care of the rest. Our billing support covers innovation projects of almost any size, from 10,000 euros to well over 100 million euros in project volume.

By the way: our range of services extends well beyond accounting. We are at your side with our funding advice, from identifying suitable funding programmes to project conception and application.

Funding call-off

We prepare the payment requests to the funding organisation for you. You then only need to send the documents to the project sponsor. Calls for funds are usually due every three, six or twelve months. You will receive the funding directly into your account.

Funding controlling

We account for your funding transparently and in line with the budget planning, provide you with the target/actual status at all times and ensure that deadlines are met in accordance with the grant notification. If required, we also prepare change requests for reallocation of funds or project extensions for you, as well as the cancellation of blocks on funds.

Documentation

When it comes to complete documentation that can be reviewed at any time, we support you. This includes creating reports and checking documents for completeness – such as timesheets, copies of invoices with payment receipts.

Support with audits

We help you to access subsidies in a legally compliant manner. If an audit is pending, we are there for you: in the event of an audit by the Federal Audit Office (Bundesrechnungshof), we can access your mirror file.

Many companies place their entire project accounting in our hands, regardless of whether the funding was applied for by the company itself or with our support. Outsourcing these tasks brings numerous advantages:

  • You do not "give away" any subsidies. As project costs can also change over the course of a project, we keep a constant eye on them. Thanks to our project controlling, we can apply for funding shifts and reallocations at an early stage.
  • You can spend more time on technical tasks that are important for the implementation of the project. We handle the external accounting of funding efficiently and take on time-consuming controlling tasks. For example, we create the funding statement for you based on your hourly records and your receipts. We also clarify open issues directly with the project sponsor.
  • You benefit from our experience. We ensure that the funding is used legally compliant so that there are no reductions. Insufficient project controlling, for example, can lead to the funding amount not being fully utilised. In the worst case, incomplete or false information can also be interpreted as grant cheating and is penalised accordingly.
  • We support you in communicating with the funding organisation and accompany you during external audits. Thanks to our many years of experience, we maintain excellent contact with various project sponsors.
  • We help you maintain an overview of all approved costs at all times. You can see at a glance which funds have been accessed and what the status of the cost items is.
