The European Innovation Council has announced a significant change for the EIC Accelerator: The final submission deadline for the year 2023 has been extended by two weeks. Originally scheduled for October 4, 2023, the new deadline is now October 19, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.

This decision was made to give applicants more time to adequately prepare in light of the latest changes in the application process. As previously reported, unexpected adjustments posed challenges for potential applicants.

In addition to the process changes, the EIC implemented a one-month submission stop for short applications, further narrowing the time frame for final submission of the full proposal. This combination of factors made the original deadline seem unattainable for many participants.

With the extension of the deadline, the EIC hopes that innovators and entrepreneurs will now have the opportunity to thoroughly develop their proposals and submit high-quality applications.

The EIC Accelerator is a vital instrument for supporting innovative projects in the European Union, assisting promising startups and SMEs in developing groundbreaking ideas and technologies. The deadline extension aims to ensure that all potential applicants have equal opportunities to submit their innovative concepts for a sustainable future.

Interested applicants should utilize the additional time to carefully prepare their projects and complete the entire application process on time. The EIC looks forward to the diversity of innovative ideas and technologies that will contribute to addressing the challenges of our time.
